Character Bio: Selinaka was born in Greece, and was raised by her father with her older brother Atolycus. She never knew her mother but her father told Selinaka about her sometimes. And why she wasn't here. He told her that her mother's cousin was after her, but wouldn't tell Selinaka why or what for, so her parents took her away and they wouldn't be able to see her for awhile. He told her about how he and her mother were both vampires now, and some of the things that it meant.
She visited her grandfather, and he told her a bit more, and then went to see Xerxes, the youngest in the "royal family of Didymos" to which her grandfather was a royal guard. Really, they were only a noble family now, since Didymos was an island in Greece that sank around 11,000 years before. Xerxes was a boy a year older than her, and over time he became her best friend.
But still she didn't understand why her mother stayed away, and why they couldn't see her, and she started to hate her mother for that. By the time that she was 11, she didn't want to see her anymore. Her father was preparing to go look for her though, and it was Xerxes that gave her the idea to fake dying so she wouldn't have to go. Plus, that would cause her mother pain if she really loved her like Father said. She knew her father was a vampire, so it would be hard to do it well enough to convince even him. But Xerxes' mother knew of someone that could help, and she took the two of them to Crete, and there they met a man who was a blood witch with powerful magic passed down in his family. He knew a spell that would put Selinaka in a death-like trance, one that could even fool a vampire. He agreed to help, put the spell on her, and gave Xerxes a potion that would bring her back.
When she woke up, her father and brother had left, and she was alone. She alternated between living with Xerxes and her grandparents until she was 15. That's when her grandfather changed her into a vampire. Angry, she left and went to Africa for many years, and then heard about CDS from a friend who'd just graduated and decided to go.

Roly Play sample: Finally unpacking all the things she brought with her from Greece, Selinaka uncovered a ring her mother gave her when she wasn't even a year old. Her eyes tearing up, she angrily threw it across the room, then wiped away the moisture before anyone could see.
